Privacy Policy for Whisperer
Last Updated: November 13, 2025
Effective Date: November 13, 2025
Introduction
Welcome to Whisperer. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Whisperer mobile application. By using Whisperer, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the app.
1. Information We Collect
Audio Recordings
We collect audio recordings you create within the app, including duration, timestamp, and audio quality. This data is used to transcribe audio into text, generate summaries, action items, and decisions, and enable playback. Audio recordings are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded unless needed for transcription. When transcription occurs, audio is sent securely to our AI provider (OpenAI via AIProxy) and is not retained after processing.
Transcripts and Meeting Data
We collect text transcriptions of your recordings, summaries, action items, meeting titles, participants, metadata, chat conversations with the AI assistant, and templates or custom settings you create. This data is used to display transcriptions, enable search, assist with AI chat, and generate PDF exports. All meeting data is stored locally on your device and is not synced to any server.
Device Information
We collect device model, OS version, app version, device identifier stored in iOS Keychain, and Identifier for Vendor. This data is used to track free tier usage limits, prevent abuse of the free trial, provide technical support, ensure compatibility, and analyze performance. Device identifiers remain stored in Keychain and usage tracking data is sent to our backend servers.
Usage and Analytics Data
We collect usage statistics such as number of transcriptions, features used, crash logs, time spent using the app, and subscription status. This is used to monitor performance, improve features, enforce free tier limits, and provide support. Usage data is stored on our backend servers and anonymized where possible. Crash logs do not include your recordings or transcripts.
Subscription and Payment Information
We collect subscription status, purchase history, and identifiers provided by RevenueCat. This information is used to manage subscriptions and premium access. We do not collect or store credit card information. All payments are processed by Apple’s App Store. RevenueCat validates receipts and subscription status.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide core functionality, including transcription, summaries, AI chat, organization of meetings, PDF exports, and search. We enforce free tier usage limits, prevent abuse, validate subscriptions, analyze performance, fix bugs, optimize speed, improve features, send app updates, respond to support requests, notify you about subscription changes, comply with laws, enforce terms of service, prevent fraud, and respond to legal requests.
3. Third-Party Services
We use OpenAI via AIProxy to provide transcription and AI chat features. Audio and text are processed securely and not retained after processing.
We use RevenueCat for subscription validation.
We use Firebase for analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring. Crash data does not include recordings or transcripts.
Apple processes all payments and provides purchase verification.
Our backend servers store device identifiers, usage counts, and subscription status.
4. Data Storage and Security
Recordings, transcripts, and meeting data are stored locally on your device. App settings are also stored locally. No data is synced to the cloud except when you request transcription. We use industry-standard security measures including device encryption, Keychain storage for sensitive identifiers, HTTPS encryption, iOS sandboxing, and secure deletion. Recordings and transcripts remain until deleted by you. Device identifiers are stored indefinitely. Usage data is retained for up to two years and crash logs for up to ninety days.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You can access your recordings and transcripts in the app, export meetings as PDF files, delete your data, and modify titles or summaries. You can control app permissions for microphone, location, and notifications through iOS Settings. You may withdraw consent by deleting data, uninstalling the app, or contacting us.
6. International Data Transfers
Some data may be transferred depending on server locations. All transfers follow appropriate protection measures.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be reflected in the app, and the date above will be updated. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
8. Data Breaches
If a data breach occurs, we will notify you as required, explain what happened, describe affected data, outline our actions, and offer guidance.
Contact Us
For questions or requests, contact us at support@deepskyapps.com

Additional Information
We do not sell your data, share recordings or transcripts, use recordings for AI training, track your constant location, access your data without your knowledge, share data for advertising, store credit card information, sync recordings to the cloud, or read your recordings. You retain all rights to your content and may export, modify, or delete it at any time. We follow data minimization principles, collecting only what is necessary and deleting data when no longer needed.

By using Whisperer, you consent to the data collection and processing described in this policy. You may withdraw consent by deleting your data or uninstalling the app.
Summary
