DeepSkyApps
Privacy
DeepSkyApps is a one-person studio, and this site is built the same way the apps are: small, quiet, and free of anything that watches you. This page explains the little data the website touches and why.
The short version
No accounts. No advertising. No cross-site tracking. Nothing about you is sold or shared for marketing. The site collects only what it needs to keep working, and to know in aggregate that people found it.
Analytics
Visits are measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first tool that uses no cookies and builds no profile of you. It records aggregate figures like page views and referrers, with no personal data and no fingerprinting. I use it only to see which pages are worth writing more of.
Field Notes email
If you subscribe to Field Notes, your email address is stored by MailerLite for the single purpose of sending you new posts. It is a single opt-in list, there is no spam, and every email has an unsubscribe link. Leave whenever you like and the address is removed.
Services the site relies on
- Cloudflare hosts the site and serves it over HTTPS.
- MailerLite handles the Field Notes mailing list, if you join it.
- Google Fonts serves the two typefaces; loading them sends your browser's request to Google.
These providers have their own privacy terms. The site adds no other third-party scripts or trackers.
The apps
This policy covers deepskyapps.com only. Each app on the App Store has its own privacy details, shown on its App Store listing and inside the app.
Your data, your call
Because the only personal data the site can hold is a mailing-list email, you can remove it yourself with the unsubscribe link, or email me and I will delete it. Questions about any of this go to the same place: [email protected].
